Celebrities can make YOU famous!

A personal appearance will usually be for 2 hours where the celebrity will meet and greet and sign autographs. You will always need to supply extra security and barriers to cordon off the area.

Every celebrity is within their own price range so for instance if you only have around £3,000, do not expect to book one of the judges from X Factor! The more they appear on television, the higher the price will be.

At Christmas time celebrities for hire are always in demand and clients tend to run with current trends. Soap stars are always cheaper but you do need to bear in mind that filming schedules dictate availability; quite often they do not know if they are available until two to three weeks before you want them to appear for you. If you have a larger budget - you can at least guarantee a much higher foot-fall at your venue and the money is never waste.

Clever marketing is essential when you want to book a celebrity because if no-one knows they're appearing, this totally defeats the object!   So whoever you need from television from celebrity singers, celebrity gardeners, celebrity chefs, celebrity soap stars, morning TV programmes or even a famous face from a TV commercial: everyone is accessible from MTM.

Celebrities can put YOU on the map! From product launches to store openings or Christmas Lights Switch ons - a celebrity will be worth their weight in gold and are an excellent marketing tool.

Please remember that Celebrities who appear in Soaps will have a very busy schedule so availability cannot be confirmed until around 2 weeks prior to your date. This will need to be considered for your advertising purposes - extra barriers and security at your event will also be essential.

Celebrities are in all sorts of price brackets and every single one will be a different price depending on how often they appear on TV. This can literally run into thousands of £'s so be prepared for quite a big spend when booking a celeb! 

Celebrities come in all different shapes and sizes and suit different budgets – from celebrity soap stars who are normally a lot less expensive than TV show and chat hosts and anyone current on the television – the more current, the more expensive. There are so many celebrities to choose from, you will ask yourself “where do I start???!!” In all the years that MTM have been booking celebrities for our blue-chip clients, we always recommend a celebrity that most age groups will instantly recognise. Yes, the children and teenagers are very important but it’s great if the mum’s and dad’s have an idea who they are as well! When booking Soap stars, please remember that due to heavy filming schedules, you cannot always obtain availability until perhaps a month before your event is about to happen. In other words, if you are organising a Christmas Switch On and you definitely want an EastEnders soap star, Coronation Street soap star or Emmerdale soap star etc., it is absolutely pointless contacting the office in the middle of August! These people will not have a clue if they are required in the studios at that time of the year unless you choose one who you know is leaving the programme, then obviously that is a different story as they could more than likely know their availability at that time of the year.

If you are a Garden Centre – then your obvious choice would be a celebrity gardener – these guys know everything there is to know on the horticultural side and can bring hundreds more people to your venue because their advice is truly priceless! Likewise, if you are a shopping centre – you might prefer to have a fashion icon appearing as opposed to a soap star. For any advice, you can always give us a call and ask us who we would recommend.

Celebrities appearances can start at as little as £3,000.00 up to £30,0000 so it really does depend on who you choose. One Celebrity that we will not name, was £2,000.00 until this person appeared on “I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here” and then after that programme, the price changed £25,000.00 and even that took a lot of negotiations! So do be prepared for a bigger spend if they are HOT NEWS at your time of booking.

After saying all this, a celebrity is a great choice for store openings, leisure facility openings, Christmas Light Switch Ons, annual outdoor shows or any type of event that you want to put on the map and attract hundreds or thousands more to your event. Celebrities appearances normally last for 2 hours and may take a short break. In that time they will sign autographs, speak to the public and do some walk-about around your venue. On top of the celebrity’s fee you will probably be paying for train or air travel and possibly overnight accommodation if it is an early start or miles away from where they work or where they live. They will also have to be met at the station or airport but usually someone at the venue is available to do this which saves on some of the travel expenses.
